And! Lessons don't just stop when the student leaves primary school either! If students wish to continue gaining more qualifications that award UCAS points (Trinity Rock & Pop Grades), we can continue the band lessons, or 1-1 lessons, at our teaching studios based at 7 Starnes Court, Union Street, Maidstone!

So, whats next?

The Rock Music School showteam will be hosting an assembly on Wednesday 1st April 2026 where our teachers will be able to show the students what we can teach them! Its a very fun, high energy show, where the students can join in!

After this, lessons will be starting on Monday 20th April 2026 with our amazing music teacher Michael and will be hosted every Monday during term time at Sandling Primary School.

Each lesson will be 30 minutes long and available lesson slots are as follows:

3.15pm-3.45pm

5 Star Reviews:

My 7 year old Son has been attending drumming lessons here for a few months and truly loves it! John is his tutor and he is incredibly engaging and patient and encouraging with him, my Son had ADHD and John seems to be able to engage him and keep his interest in the lesson throughout 🙂 I hugely recommend and it’s fab to have somewhere like this in Maidstone!

Absolutely awesome on every level in a relaxed and friendly environment. As a middle aged man trying to learn to play the guitar from the internet for the past couple of years this now makes so much more sense. Having now attended the 20 minute taster session and two lessons I have nothing but praise and gratitude for both my tutor Danun and Katie who organised everything for me. Danun has tailored his lessons to challenge and interest me, whilst being patient and encouraging. Throughout providing feedback that is both constructive and encouraging.

I would strongly recommend The Rock Music School to anybody of all ages who wishes to pursue a musical adventure. I’ll certainly be continuing my journey for much longer.

Benefits of Learning an Instrument in a Band

There are so many benefits to learning an instrument. Research has shown links between adults who play an instrument and lower stress levels, lower blood pressure and a reduction in anxiety and depression.

Learning an instrument can improve your memory, build your confidence and enhance your creativity!

As well as amazing health benefits, there are social benefits to learning an instrument, especially if you are learning in a group. You can connect with like-minded people and make new friends.

At The Rock Music School, we understand the importance of building confidence through performance, and building confidence through social events. That’s why all of our students get exclusive events every few months, where they can jam with our teachers and other students if they want to! And if they don’t want to, they can still meet new people and enjoy the event!

Our students also benefit from lots of local public performance opportunities at various events and festivals throughout each year!
